Licensed guide

My name is Christel Lapeyrie, a professional guide for nearly twenty years now with passion still intact. I graduated from a French university in foreign languages, English and Spanish. After achieving my exams, I trained in the United States, Spain and travelled extensively around the world.

Becoming a national guide lecturer seemed to me the obvious choice, considering my interest for history and art. After one year at Marne La Vallee University, I received the official licence which entitled me to guide in monuments and museums all around France. Since then, I have acquired more academic skills, taking lessons of art history at the prestigious Ecole du Louvre.

Today I receive requests from diverse sources via agencies and tour operators dealing with varied audiences, such as incentive groups, families, seniors and student groups. I decided to create special female-focused tours, in 2018, to shed light on women often overlooked in French art and history .

My favorite tours

Join me on one of my favourite tours about women. Go back in time to put yourself in the shoes of Parisian women during the French Revolution.

Learn much more about Marie-Antoinette following her steps at Versailles palace, the Petit Trianon and the Queen’s hamlet. Then continue the journey in Paris to admire her furniture at the Louvre, to see where she lived and died and where she was eventually buried.

Or visit in the outskirts of Paris, la Malmaison the splendid house where Napoleon and Josephine resided during the Consulate.
